Thunderchild Custom Builders LLC is a boutique Design and Construction Management firm serving Center City Philadelphia and the surrounding area. At Thunderchild Custom Builders, we strive to create one-of-a-kind, functional living spaces that are as unique and varied as our Clients. Let us assist you with everything from design and layout to choosing all finishes from flooring, to kitchen cabinets, to the final paint color and hardware.

We work directly with homeowners to help you visualize, budget and create your vision while always keeping an eye towards long term sustainability and resale value. We also work with Contractors and Builders to source, price, and deliver custom materials during all phases of the construction process.

With more than 23 years designing and renovating homes in Center City Philadelphia - from Society Hill, to Graduate Hospital, to Fairmount, to deep South Philadelphia Thunderchild Custom Builders has the talent, experience, contacts and vendor relationships to bring your home design and building visions to life.

We provide the following services to both individual Clients and Contractors/Builders.
Visualize It

Space planning for both Interior and Exterior projects.

We will work with you to create a new layout for any area of your home. From planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel, to creating a new floor plan layout for a complete home renovation, Thunderchild Custom Builders will work with you to elevate your project to a new level of organization, style and elegance, all while keeping your budget in perspective.

We can provide full service interior or exterior design drawings. If your project requires drawings from an Architect, or input from a Structural Engineer, We have a long-standing relationship with experts who will help bring your dreams into reality.

Price it

We will work with you to create a realistic and accurate budget for your project.

Budgeting includes pricing for all aspects of a project - design, construction materials, labor, subcontractors, permits, and all other aspects of the construction process.

We work directly with our Clients to select, price and source Specific Materials for your projects. Specific Materials are any materials for your project that have a finished, aesthetic quality, including tile, wood flooring, doors, door hardware, kitchen cabinets, marble, granite, quartz, kitchen appliances, bathroom vanities, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and household furnishings.

Over the past 23 years, we have created and maintained close relationships with vendors to provide our Clients with the best in durable, timeless, stylish, and maintainable materials for your home. To name just a few of our vendor relationships: Kohler, Grohe, Handsgrohe, Delta, Dal-Tile, Tilebar, Nemo Tile, Mohawk, Sherwin Williams, Behr, Build.com, Schlage, Ferguson, Balwin, Emtek, Signature Hardware, West Elm, Shades of Light, Pella, Fabuwood, Nexan Building Products, C&R Building Supply, Walnut Street Kitchens, Kemper Cabinets, Kitchen-Aid appliances, Thermador appliances, Fisher-Paykel appliances, and Avalon Flooring.

Build it

We have relationships with many independent Contractors and will put you in touch with the right company for the right job. We have long-standing relationships with many dependable Independent Contractors and Subcontractors who will get your project done on time and on budget.

We can write and negotiate Contracts with our team of General Contractors and Subcontractors.

We will make regular site visits during the construction phase of your project to ensure quality and smooth transitions every step of the way.
